Obama Rally in Wilmington, Delaware

When I heard that Barack Obama would be speaking in the middle of Rodney Square, the photojournalist in my heart assured me that this was an event not to miss! Barack Obama made an appearance in Rodney Square, in Wilmington, Delaware, today to rally voters in anticipation of the big Super Tuesday vote in just 2 days. I'm not sure of the exact number but I can tell you that there were thousands upon thousands of people there. It was pretty crazy, I have to say, to see so many people in one place and it not be a professional sports game or concert. WOW. I think I witnessed something pretty big today. (Pretty big for our small state anyway!)

Here are some images from the rally:

Thousands of would be voters showed up at the rally. People of many different races and ages but all of them to hear Obama speak in person.

Kaylee Olney, from Wilmington, Delaware, waits to see Barack Obama.

Obama, after he entered the platform and started his speech.

Obama, as he spoke to the crowd of thousands.

Obama envoked many cheers from the crowd with his words.

Obama claps along with the crowd, and waves after he's finished his speech.

Obama takes time to shake hands with people in the crowd, before leaving Rodney Square.

I wonder how the rally will affect the decisions of many voters, come Tuesday. One thing is for sure though....whatever your beliefs or whoever your candidate......make sure you GO OUT AND VOTE!! :)
